TESTING & MAINTENANCE

SAFETY FIRST

Regular testing and inspection of both fixed electrical installations and portable appliances, completed by qualified electricians, is the most effective way to ensure compliance with health and safety law.

Fixed Wire Electrical Testing will provide you with an electrical installation condition report giving you a detailed insight in to any area's of concern within your electrical installation.
ATTENTION LANDLORDS!

A new piece of government regulation requires landlords in England to have electrical installations checked at least once every five years, effective from the 1 June 2020.
Having a regular check ensures that the installation is safe, and also protects the landlords own investment: if an electrical fault led to a fire, you could be looking at relocating tenants, refurbishment costs and lost rent.
For new properties with an electrical installation Certificate, or properties with an existing EICR, an ESI (Electrical Safety Inspection) will be needed within five years of issue.

FIXED WIRE TESTING

As NICEIC Approved Contractors, we are both qualified and experienced to undertake fixed wire inspection and testing. Along with this our engineers have many years of experience carrying out electrical inspections in properties ranging from domestic dwellings, offices and shops through to industrial units and factories.

PAT TESTING

Portable appliance testing (PAT) is the regular safety examination of portable electrical appliances and equipment, using visual inspection and specialist testing equipment.

A portable appliance is generally understood to be an electrical item that can be easily moved and has a plug attached, or that can be attached (such as a charging lead for a mobile phone), for power supply.
